The Adventures of Ranked

I remember back to my beginning of playing League. In fact I remember when my boyfriend had me play the tutorial on his account. I got so upset that I pushed the computer away and rage quit. And that was just the tutorial. I'm not exactly sure what got me to even be interested in playing better. But it almost felt like no time, and forever, but I reached level 30. Before then those last 10 levels were great. I would play with my boyfriend and sometimes people I never met. I would carry the game with 10-20 kills, 1-3 deaths, and 5-15 assists. The enemy team after the game would be stunned, and everyone wanted me on their friend list with them. Either team would ask me to play ranked with the way I played with them, they would be carried to diamond in no time. Well let me tell you.

Do not play ranked.
Ever.

Everyone was shocked when I would tell them, "I can't play ranked, i'm not even level 30." Well now. Ranked is a completely different ball park. You would think that ranked would be harder, because, you know, all of the real players play ranked. Well. It's not. Ranked is harder because first off, everyone who plays ranked, is bad. I completely agree with Sky 100% that people who play ranked, think that League is an anime. Or Pokemon. Or some Japanese made game. They think that they are the protagonist in this anime on the road to Diamond. And that if they just jump in and do whatever. Then everything is going to go their way, because it has to, because they're the main character.

On the last game of my promotion series, it was myself, a Jinx in bot lane. And here we have Blitzcrank, who is my support. We were against Draven. And Thresh. And in the beginning of the game Blitzcrank is like, "Jump right in there and be offensive in the beginning!!!" Well Unfortunately for Blitzcrank, he was unaware that you cannot simply just, "Jump in there." When any time you leave the safety of your minions, Thresh will hook you. And you'll be set for death. So what does he do? He jumps in there. And what happens? Thresh hooks him. And he complains, "He's playing behind his minions, no fair!"
What again did the tutorial tell us?

So anyway Blitzcrank just began to feed. We lost that game. And I died five times. But the tragic thing. Is that in 8 of my 10 promotion games. Atleast one if not two or three people on my team were just like that. I was sure I would end up in Bronze V [In the ranking system, there are certain tiers of each rank. V {roman five} is the lowest, and I {roman one} the highest. After you then proceed to the lowest tier of the next rank. Bronze is the lowest.] But some how something had blessed me and I have been spared of the tortures of bronze- And made it into silver.

Sadly though I am 97% sure that I cannot make it to gold by tomorrow to be given Victorious Sivir.

So what's everyone else's experiences with Ranked? What's your preferred play style? Leave a comment below!

The Harrowing 2015

Yayyy happy bleated Harrowing! Well its not really that much of yay, as Riot has given us no lore this year. However instead they put their effort into releasing a zombie apocalypse themed skin line, and well as make a song for it, and tons of art. So who is on the list to be zombified?

Nunu
Zombie Nunu to be quite honest doesn't really look cool...He looks terrifying. For whatever floats your boat, if you like grotesque kind of horror, this is the skin for you. No more little boy riding an abominable snow man. This is some creepy child which reminds me of one of the boogie children in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Riding on what appears to be a rotting ogre in some way. Weilding balls of slime and hopefully scaring the rude 10 year olds off league- Unfortunately the sale just ended and he is back to his normal price of 1350 RP.

Pantheon
Slayer Pantheon makes me wish I played Pantheon. A lot of Pantheons skins are just practically re-colorings of his normal self, without any character or extravagant theme being put in. Just some dude with a roman hat, a big shield and a sword. When I heard there was a new Pantheon skin coming out. I honestly thought that they were adressing the wishes of many- Baker Pantheon. A fan skin concept of Pantheon with a chef hat on, his shield a pizza pan, sword a baguette. And an animation of him making pizza when he returns to base.
This however is just as pleasing. For once we depict the sword and shield as being something other than a blatant sword and shield. It appears that his shield is a road sign. And his sword is a chain saw. Okay maybe it's not just as pleasing as a guy fighting people with a baguette. But you take what you can get. He's the cheapest new skin at 975 RP.

Jinx
Okay, as an active player of Jinx, sure i'm a little critical. This is because I would actually be able to buy this. However... This skin is too over rated. YES, there are new designs, new animations, new textures, coloring, backing, ammunition changes. New new new everything. But is it really that new?
To be quite honest this skin looks like the love child of normal Jinx and normal Vi. However, this skin kindof gives you a slight buff. The flame chompers are things that you need to desperately avoid when playing against a Jinx. And with this skin her flame chompers are so dark, small, and animate so little that you can't see them in group fights. Only those with lots of experience with her kit can have open eyes to them. The idea was cool, but this just doesn't really feel like it's actually different. With still, firecracker Jinx being her best skin. Although I'm happy that they are making skins for her. When I first started playing, there was only one and it wasn't all intriguing. You can get this for an outrageous price of 1350 RP (Or you could, you know, get the way better Jinx skin that is also that price.) 5/10 cups of tea.

But hey, with this login entry music and great art style, who wouldn't want to waste their money on Zombie Slayer Jinx? Music is a great marketing tool. But still. Maybe it it had a little more color to it, it wouldn't be half bad. Login Music/Art

Worlds sucks, but Kindred doesn't.

Wow has a lot happened in the last while. I'm not going to wrap up worlds and talk about Kindred in this post. And the up and coming season six, and spirit fire brand, as well In my next post i'll be discussing the bleated harrowing in later ones.

Worlds went exactly as predicted, with SKT taking the wold cup, and KOO only winning one of the five games. They were long, with not many kills. Blah blah blah, boring boring. What I mean by talking about worlds, I mean talking about how great it is that worlds is over! Worlds can be such a bland and boring time for casual players, (aka, 95% of league of legends community). Nothing ever changes, nothing is ever new, and the only upside is that it means there aren't ever any updates to download. Not only that, but since worlds was on halloween this year, It means the harrowing was completely forgotten about. For those who don't play that often, the Harrowing is like halloween in the world of runeterra. Only its a far more dangerous and erie time. Filled with lore, stories, animations. And as you guessed, themed skins being brought back, and new ones each year.

Kindred as also released in the big jumble of worlds. I even tried her out a bit. Fun, kind of. Kind of because she is still something so confusing. Its still been such a short amount of time since her release, that we still don't know if she can be mastered. Can a Kindred really carry on out a stunning score with 20 kills and make the other team surrender at twenty minutes? Or is this something that still Lee Sin can only do? Which ironically makes no since because in lore he's blind... So hypothetically he cant really SEE the team through to victory. But I digress. I have tried Kindred in the jungle, and it was met quite badly. Then again, im not a jungler. But that's just the point. Never before has a Marksmen been brought to the jungle. That means that no matter who you are, you have to learn to master an entirely new way to play the game. After all, this is not League of Middle Lane. League of Jungle... There are thousands upon million different ways to experience each game. So a message to all of you professional junglers that never go out into the lanes. Try to play a bot lane marksmen before you play Kindred in the jungle. Just the same for you marksmens, play a regular jungle champion before hopping in there.

However for those who don't play so much, playing as Kindred might seem as too much of a hassle. But who wouldn't want to? Her lore actually makes sense to why she would be in the feilds of justice in the first place, yet it remains intriguing. Usually those who would make sense in battle are dry and flat war machines. Yet Kindred is a double spirit of a wold and lamb. The bringers of death. It would make sense that they would see through that fate has come. Walking through the lanes or jungle, Lamb, who is bi-pedal, leaps in a graceful and mystical motion. While Wolf, a floating spirit of darkness dances between her leaps. There is just one thing though. Its absolutely hallarious when you have excessive speed on Kindred.

Artistically, I think they did an amazing job on her. When you see her animated in game, the makes all the other older champions look like clowns. Everything is shaded and colored to the last detail, and glows without flaws. It makes me wish I had money, because her release skin is so expensive at 1350 RP {About 10$} But also so beautiful. One where the concept art doesn't stray from the in game look by a pixel.

Many people have expressed such great enthusiasm for the Kindred Lore that they would like to see it being animated. Tell us how you feel in the comments below. Is Kindred more fun to play? Or even better to read about?
